Anyone know if a new shape M class (320) is imminent?
Discussion
Help! - Dont want to make the same mistake thrice!!
2005 Bought the wife a brand new Honda Civic CTDI - 3 months later - gorgeous new shape came out (dealer lied to me even though I asked them if a revamp was coming!)
2005 Bought myself an HSE Freelander - 2006, brand new shape comes out - doh!
ok heres my point - friend has a gorgeous M320 diesel sport 2006 plate - we've agreed a price i think is good (sub 20k) - the M320 has pretty much been this shape now since 05/06 - does anyone think theres a dramatic restyling coming out in the next 12 months or so? dont wanna spend 20k then find its the old shape and now worth 10! (like I did the freelander!)
many many thanks for any advice!

yep! £44k 320 Sport 2006 now for under £20k has to be good! (especially when you consider the same age of new shape freelander HSE is still commanding 17k) - its either the 320 or I'm getting a 1 year old Jag XF!
ta!
Wheels & Colour has to be right imo, I like the silvery blue colour with the big AMG wheels. Black is always good with the privacy glass too. I find the normal Silver ones a little drab for some reason.ta!
I havnt driven a 320, but drove a 280 with a Brabus chip (apparantley the same power as a 320 then) and it felt good, I found it didnt feel fast, then you look at the clock and realise its deceptivley quick and before you know it your easily breaking the speed limit...
Now that ice blue colour is the only colour I don't like, I love the silver in it, especially with privacy glass.
Also, if looking at an XF, hire it.
You can get a 3.0 V6 which comes with all the toys for around £260 a month for 10k miles or £310 a month for 18k miles.
Why would you even consider buying when you can hire that cheap??

wow! where did you see one at that price? I'm just coming out of a lease deal - I have a mazda CX7 for work and paying £260 a month for that - I'd defo pay £300 a month for an XF. The mazda was only an 18month contract so would defo consider it
The 320 is the silver one with shiny silver grill - its the top of the ranger with sat nav, privacy glass, blah blah - 320cdi/auto/ diesel 4matic sport
my only concern really is the shape - is it about to get its ass whooped by the new shape one? at least I know Jaguar cant afford to heavily modify the XF for a good few years
then again, I'd miss the massive boot space the M320 would offer! (I work in design so often have to move large quantities of printed literature about the place)
thanks again!

Yes new XFs have got very cheap recently. If you go to www.drivethedeal.com a 2010 3.0 V6 Luxury 4dr Auto can be had for £25,755. This is stageringly cheap for a car that cost £33,900 when it first came out.

you'd be doing well to get it at that price! I've just been on the site and its listing their cheapest XF at 30k after savings of 4k have been taken off - if you can buy a brand new XF for around 25k I'd be pretty impressed!

You can get it for that price, why would I post if it wasn't true? s
