Omega advice please

I'm a watch novice so please bear with me

I've always fancied a nice watch and never owned one, anyway bit of a bonus at work means I can afford to treat myself!

I've always liked Omegas so I went to a High Street store and tried a few for size I really liked the 45mm Planet Ocean they were asking £2200, I resisted the urge to buy straight away and have been shopping around. I have since been offered a black bezel 45mm on a bracelet for £1750, is this a good deal? The dealer reckons it is heavily discounted and Omega have an imminent price rise that will take this watch to £2400 (I haven't a clue if this is true)?

I'm itching to say yes but would really appreciate a bit of advice on the deal as prices seem to vary lots!!

Brand new Planet Ocean for £1750, yes I would say that it is a good deal, and yes, there is an imminent Omega price rise. But like already said - try Dominic H to see what he can do for you.

Goldsmiths offered me that price on a 45mm PO on Saturday so should be achievable.

Having said that, am I right in thinking that today was the 8% price increase day? So good luck with striking that deal now.

I paid £1850 for mine a month ago so I'd say that's a good price.

I wouldn't be surprised if prices went up with the GBP/CHF rates as they are.

Hi All

Did the deal today, it seems like people thought it was a good deal so I just went for it. I got the PO from Watchfinders, I did push them a bit for the deal as I like to feel I've got VFM. They have been really helpful so far in emails and phonecalls. They did say it was the last one at that price but it might be worth giving them a try if anyone else is after one?

I'm getting it delvered tomorrow, I'm really looking forward to it! My first decent watch!
