Popped in to the Systembolaget the other day and this beer caught my eye.

I didn't buy any (yet!) but when I do, I will let you know how it tastes (presumably with a hint of oil or such).

It claims to be a 'Hot rodding beer' and is produced in Sweden. Apologies for the ste photo, had my hands full with other things!

I might not get another chance to find it (couldn't find it in my local Systembolaget the other day). I found this one about 600km north in Sälen.

I'm going to drive to 3 other places this weekend in an attempt to track it down! Otherwise, I could have a very long beer run on my hands!

Will SOTW now be a LWB luxo-barge for the PH crew to get chauffeured home in when they're tanked up on PH beer?

in all seriousness though, I am quite happy to look into the possibility of a minimum run PH branded beer for real.

I work in the industry so should know enough people to make it possible.

Key thing is numbers!

Quite a few of us can say that, in one way or another!!

Its a good idea. Years ago there used to be a company in canterbury where you would borrow their equipment to make your own beer, labelled as you like. They set it up as a club, and they were a few members short of manking it viable. Shame really- Vantage Ale was really nice. And the labelled beer made lovely gifts for people.

So yes, I would be interested in something branded. Of course, the real headache will be deciding what sort of beer you want it to be- a good allrounder Bitter- we could call that one "335d(mapped)", a soft, easy drinking one which doesnt challenge you- we can call this one "MX5", a Beer which cant make its mind up ("I've got an empty glass. What beer should I buy...") and one which polarises opinion ("New series of Top gear Beer. Its gone downhill/its funnier then ever. Well, if you dont like it then dont watch it. But how will I know if I like it if I dont watch it??"

Not the easiest name for a Beer, but one which will challenge berr drinkers for years to come!

Any PH beer should have the colour of skepticism, an initial nose of tyre smoke, an astringent hit of irony and pisstake on the palate, developing into a long reaching finish redolent of 98RON and pie.

Draught Bass it is not.
