Shall we start a library of links to our favourite roads?

Could be a useful planning tool smile

I'll kick off with the Bealach na Ba

Buttertubs pass in Yorkshire - Scary drops. Amazing views

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&am...

A525 Nant y Garth Pass, North Wales - Doesn't look much on Google, but a great set of twisties following a river though a ravine.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&am...

Evo Triangle - Scenery ok but not amazing. More about fast flowing corners and good visibility for overtaking than twisties. Kind of place you might go to stretch the legs on a collection of supercars you were testing for a magazine review.

Forest leg:

Moorland leg:

B4391 to Bala, North Wales. Great scenery, driving up the side of a large valley, over the moorland top of the hill, then a brake testing descent down into Bala.

Elise having fun: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&am...

Single track road poured over the hill near Brecon, great view from this hairpin:

The scenery is stunning I'll grant you, but that road is horrible; it's too narrow and too full of tourists to make any progress.

It also owes me more front splitters than I care to remember rolleyes

nono

The last three times I've done the Bealach and the 42 mile loop, I've seen no cars whatsoever. Not one. It's all about timing!

There is one camper van, one Merc people carrier, one small hire van, one Volvo and one Peugeot, plus a biker.

Only the bike and the small hire van are on the road, the others are parked up in the parking area.

Fail? laugh That road is bloody brilliant. Timing is everything, but that's not a busy road by any stretch.

ETA - Great roads on YouTube: Aston Martin liked it.
