I don't live in Dubai but visit once or maybe twice a year for a holiday. I came last year with my mate and we saw that the autodrome had some races on but we just missed out. What I want to do if I go this year is just drive a relatively fast car around the track. They had an Audi S5 and an Audi TT last year. Has anybody done this? Is it worth the money? Anywhere else that does this? We went to the go karting nearby and that was amazing, definitely worth the money.

I believe you can pre-book through the Dubai Autodrome website.

If memory serves, they do:

Audi TTRS
Scooby doo's
Audi RS4's
Single Seater

Watched the single seater experience a few times. basically in total 20mins track time, however, you have to follow one of the instructors in the TT. After an initial few laps, they will split you up into who is fast and who is slow, they will then introduce another instructor driven TT. The fast group follow one, the slower group the other.

You do not get to drive on the international Track - they cordon off a part of the track and you do your experience there.

For the other cars, you have an instructor with you the whole time, after which, he will hop in the drivers seat and show you how its really done.

I've done the single seater experience, it's good fun. You start off on the oval circuit and then head over to the Club circuit (I think). It's all behind a TTS and no overtaking, but by the end they were going at a fair lick and the cars are hilarious to drive.

I did the Single Seaters on the Club Circuit.

It was fun until the clutch started slipping so much that I couldn't get any speed out of the damn thing.

The guys were great though, after the session they put me in a different car and let me have a few more laps.
