Just out of interest, some new watches surfacing pre-Basel world - rumours of a new Explorer II also.

Ball EMII Word Timer II:

Sinn 142 St II GZ, with interior tide bezel: http://www.sinn.de/en/Modell/142_St_II_GZ.htm

And the new Stowa Chrono ( http://www.basel2010.com )

That Stowa is really nice on first glance but the bronzed hands and numerals don't look quite right against the silver case. Anyone else find this?

Thinking about it, that would look the dogs danglies with blued hands and numerals........

The Stowa is really nice but agree with the blue hands comment, that would look great! I have just bought a Sinn regulator and that has blued hands and gold numerals and does look lovely.

The Ball on the other hand is horrible, too fussy, there is too much on there a la Breitling... World timing is where digital with multiple displays comes into its own.

Don't like the Ball.

The Stowa looks good - different sub-dial arrangement, but that aside there is more than a hint of IWC Portuguese 3714-01 about it - which is no bad thing.

Like what they did with the bezel numerals on the Ball.

Love the Stowa, will certainly be aquiring one of these in the next 12 months or so with any luck.
Whether its a MO or (price dependant) the Chrono.

Anyone care to take a guess at approx price for the Chrono ? Can't find the info anywhere yet.

White faced Omega PloProf?

And what I think is a very cool offering from Tudor:

And a restrained Brietling:

Very interesting this, and I wonder what the price will be. With the numerals in relief the Stowa is starting to look more and more like a Dornbleuth.

ETA - I think it'll be expensive. They've gone for a Valjoux 7750 in this one - or do Unitas not offer a chrono movement?

^^ Keep an eye at your Breitling dealer over the coming months! smile
That Tudor MC remake is quite nice... I bet Rolex ADs are going to be overrun with people putting their names down for them!!

The Stowa Chrono is very nice, has a real air of the GO Senator Chrono about it. Such a shame it has a 775x inside.

That Tudor is a re-issue/re-edition of the Monte Carlo isn't it?

I agree its lovely, very 70s style but more elegant.

Someone asked for a guess at the price of the Stowa chrono, I'd say somewhere around €1600 but its just a guess.

yep, I think you're about right. Slightly more than I'd pay for a Stowa personally.

I see on TZ there is suggestion that the MC reissue is an ordinary ETA with a DD piggy-backed onto it...
A shame because at a (rumoured!) £3k pricepoint, that suddenly seems a lot!
I like it, bar the gaudy pushers...
