Has this been done before?

What's your money no object / could find one in a snap if you wanted one watch? The one timepieec which couldn't be surpassed in your collection.

I'll have a rosegold / slate dial IWC Portugese chrono please - perfect blend of understated class, style and quality for me.

I guess for the timebeing I'll just squint really hard when I look at my seiko. hehe

A Jaeger Le Coultre Master Control series watch, not sure on the exact model, but the Master Hometime would do for now...

Nice pick. I have this in rose gold w/ cream face.

Easy. First issue IWC Grand Complication. Given the question it had better be the platinum one ... :

Halo watch would be this:

But barring a Euromillions rollover jackpot win I won't ever be getting one. And of course, this would be just one of the 10 or so watches that are in my fantasy collection!

I think we have similar tastes! Mine would be a Master Compressor Chronograph or a Master Compressor Diving Chronograph:

... or a Glashutte Panomatic Reserve biggrin

^^ cloud9

It would definitely be a JLC for me... although I see more and more I like! PP are nice, but not quite for me...

Think I would split the money on two:

Rolex Daytona Paul Newman White face (black sub dials)
Hublot Big Bang Senna edition II.

Completely different watches and styles.

But within 6 months I would want something else!!

Money no object? I'd probably go and get something like this Richard Mille Tourbillon RM012

Or this Greubel Forsey

Or both of them.. and a Rolex Submariner no date, Omega Moonwatch, IWC Portugese Automatic, Grand Seiko Spring Drive Diver, Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time....

Ah, the grail watch? Easy: either an AP Royal Oak Offshore Chrono (25721.ST.etc - not that I've memorised it!) or Patek Philippe Cal. 5070 in rose gold.

Don, I really like that but what is it. It barely even looks like a watch.

The RM's, I just don't get them. I know the engineering is top drawer and you need a lottery win to afford one, but I can only find them 'interesting'. Fortunately the fact that I don't really like them isn't going to be the only prohibitive factor in getting one on my wrist.

I would find this very hard to decide, probably either a Greubel Forsey Double Secret:

or a Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Complication a Triptych:

Not sure I would actually wear either ...
