We had this tonight with my sausages, cracked black pepper, sweet chilli and garlic, and pork and leek, with beans and tinned toms, the mashed spuds had onions and garlic.but sometimes mrs pad puts leek in them.then three different cheeses grated on top put under the grill untill brown.

Comfort food for us is a good 'ol Bangers and Mash, with Toulouse sausages, buttery mash and beans. Or a homemade cottage pie. Lovely.

Here's a recipe i've devised for a quick and easy slaggy gravy using bisto granules.

Make up half a pint of bisto - slightly weaker than the instructions.
Fry off an sliced onion in butter
Chuck a clove of garlic in when the onion is nearing being cooked
Stir in the bisto
Stir in a tablespoon each of wholegrain mustard and dijon mustard

It's not big, or even clever, but it's quick, easy and tastes good with bangers and mash.

Ham, egg and chips

In fact I made it at work today,
honey roasted ham, I boiled it with onion garlic pepper and orange just to see how it would affect teh flavour before plonking it in oven with a honey drizzle and it was delicious lick
and homemade chips of course

Definately.

Not a massive fan of pies myself (at least not the ones who contain pastry).
