Went to see a SLK55 today with the idea of swapping Mrs BB's 230SLK. We both love the '55. Something's stopping me and I don't know what it is.....the '55 has done more miles than my wife's car but it is 5 yrs newer, makes more noise(!) and is much more modern. Looks fab! Money wise, it's her 230 plus 17-ish K....I like it, and hope I'll do most of the driving! Putting aside the money argument, can someone please give me confidence that buying an '05 SLK55 is not something I might regret...

The 55s are quick, fun and expensive to run and maintain.

the 350 is nearly as quick and significantly cheaper to own, plus you have the choice of auto or manual.

As do I, you wont regret buying one. I keep hearing that the 350 is nearly as good but its not as good.
