Just got in, hope you all had a great time.
Thanks to all who came, either running or to support.
A big thank you to Javelin for hosting the event, without their resources it would be impossible for us to have such a day.
The was an issue with Javelins new timing software which spat out the dummy. That meant the results were delayed sufficiemtly to scupper the awards presentation, I will endeavour to get your bling to you if you are owed one.

Below is a list of best mile speed and best 1/4 time for each runner.
I have to be up at 0400 for work and will be away for a few days to excuse me if I don't announce the winners of each class tonight, but if you have an A by your name you are a class winner

Thanks to all had a great day, had an awfull run home massive accident on the A1 didnt move for over 2 hours! On top of being woke up by the friendly travelodge staff at 5am I am utterly s*agged!

9th overall im very pleased with that!!

Rick sorry didnt get to run with you had to shoot off and my clutch was getting very odd by the 5th run so didnt want to risk it hope you got back o.k with the battery mishap, going off your 1/4 time and top speed you are hammering me top end again (must find a way to increase the gap!)

Ive just had a proper look and all i can say is that the jap guys were very very fast.

Im happy with a 13.7 1/4 but the main thing is i beat ciscas as he has identical power mods.

Well done to my Mym8v8, i know you really wanted to go faster than 160 and you hit 165. Those mods worked then thumbup

I was a little disappointed with 155.. couldn't understand why I was hitting the limiter in 5th when others with the same spec weren't!

I was given several very plausible explanations about wheel size, cam profiles etc, but to my relief a simple answer has presented itself.

I'll be changing my nickname to 'muppet'.

Can we assume that your car hasn't been de-limited? idea

He has VXR8 LS3 with the MF Magic cam and full Wortec headers, cat back and sports cats.
The only difference between Simons(justsoldit)and ours is we have OTRCAI and not the cam.
Si your no muppet, your cars strong and did some excellent times. Like Jez said it must be to do with the cam.
I dont really understand how it works. But i know you were hitting certain speeds in certain gears and getting no further. I was driving the same as you but wasn't getting the same problem.
Simon, tell these guys(tech brain boxes) exactly what was wrong and they will work it out for you

Didn't realise that it was at 155 you were hitting the limiter. I'd say you have Non std gearing .
No way should you be on the limiter in 5th at 155.

Sorry but we never discussed speed on the day so I assumed you were talking 160-70 speeds, and I was just saying a cam would help with airflow at the top end over a stock setup.

Stick the cruise on at 70 in 5th and take a note of the rpm it gives you, stick it on the forum and hopefully someone else will do the same and you can compare the numbers to see if they match.smile
