I have a 1983 CWC Royal Navy Divers quartz watch and on odd occasion ive seen it doing, not its normal 1 second sweep but exactly 3 second ticks, is this telling me the battery is about to give up?

Yes, it's usually an indication that the battery is low on power smile How long have you had the watch/How long since the battery was last replaced?

Ive had the watch about 4 years, it had already stopped when i bought it and had the battery replaced then, so its around 4 years old.

Sorted, two and a half minutes and one pound ten pence later, very happy with that and watch back to giving me 24 hour accuracy and one second jumps smile Ta
