I think i have picked up the watch bug after getting a planet ocean from Dom H last year.

While doing the usual shop with the Mrs on Saturday i managed to wander off and took a fancy to a 1968 Seamaster Chronostop:

The watch has recently been serviced and has 12 months warranty for £1750 which (having no experience) i felt was pretty strong money?

Any opinions on these?

Thanks

Wow! I really like them, but you're right- to me that at least(!) £1k overpriced. Ebay (I know) item 200451433169 claims to have been away to Omega themselves and didn't break £1k.

Thanks for that, i wished i'd seen it earlier. £760 seems much better value

I would think you could get a very good Seamaster chronostop for about £800, I have seen a few very good restored ones for sale at about that price over the last couple of years, and some not so perfect ones down to about £500.

I have one at home! I've had it since new. Never thought about value but it is an unusual version that they produced at the time for wearing the watch with the face under the wrist (a fashion at the time). The 12 oclock is turned through 90 degrees so it is between the winder and the stop watch button. Anyone seen one of these on the market?
