I have a mate who is looking to buy a new watch, max budget is £350. He is ideally after something with a metal bracelet, fairly classic in style but a decent size. Also he wants to avoid the fashion brands and go for a proper watch manufacturer, and if possible something with a Sapphire Crystal glass, is that even possible at £350?

I've tried to peusuade him to up the budget a touch, and look at an Oris or an Omega, but he can't right now. So what do you guys reckon?

I would say a Mauric Lacroix in a sale.

You wont get a get an automatic but my first swiss watch was a ML and its still looking awesome. I got it for £250 in a sale but I'm sure he could find a similar priced watch.

For the money they cannot be beat! Also look at Hamilton, they go pretty cheap online, plus they're autos!

It doesnt have a metal bracelet, but ticks every other box. Excellent watch for the price...

He can always get a bracelet and retrofit. I know it says it's a "Williams Edition", but as you can see, there's no mention on the front of the watch.

Cheers guys appreciate the input, not sure about that Oris, great price though.

I'm liking this one at the minute, but hey it's not my decision.

Or a Precista PRS3? -

I have owned a Christopher Ward (Henley)and I own a PRS3LE, the Precista wins hards down for quality IMHO.

I'd agree with that.
