I'm sure he does want £7700, but he shouldn't get that much IHMO.

Look at what dealers are asking:

I was just about to answer the same and provide the Blowers example. From what I have seen from watching their website Blowers are not shifting these watches (recently and quickly) at that price either. I wouldn't pay anywhere near the amount he is asking if I were banking on passing that on quickly at a profit!

I'd personally try £6.5K and move up from there ... It's not like they're selling like hot cakes or in short supply!

does it not depend on which S/S Daytona it is and which movement?

If the bike is a pup or hard to shift spose it might be better to transfer the dept onto something which is easier to sell even if it means loosing a bit of dollar

2007 will be a Rolex movement, Probably a Z serial. It is worth around £6200 if you want to move it on without having it hang around to long and that is dependant on overall condition, complete with box and papers etc. List price in 07 was £4450.

I've got one myself but I know someone who bought one recently and he got hold of one relatively quickly for around £7k brand new.

I was told by someone I know in the trade that the supposed huge waiting lists were generally made up of jewelery shop staff looking after mates who would then sell it to a dealer. Obv the bloke in the jewelery shop gets a couple of hundred quid for his trouble. Sounds fairly plausible to me.

I sold mine to a nice chap on TZ-UK last month for £6250. Thats what you should be paying for a 2006/2007 model. Mine was a black face and was mint having just been serviced. It was a 2006 with all the BnP's.

Anything over £7k is daylight robbery in my book I'm afraid!
