OK, shamefull theft of topic title, but this time in Leeds.

The OH and I are having a break from furious wedding planning tomorrow aft for a few beers in town.

Only lived here a few years, but know a few of the real ale/old fashioned pubs Mr Foley's, Victoria Hotel, Angel etc...

But think more chilled out, 'interesting' bars, with maybe some decent selections of cocktails. Not fussed on trendy bars, and will walk a million miles to avoid Sports Bar lol.

So, help please smile

My sister works at the West Yorkshire Playhouse and swears by The Wardrobe which is the bar downstairs.

We didn't go out until fairly late on in the end, so just ended up doing a bit of a short real ale sesh (or cider for the OH). Went Duck and Drake, Adelphi (first time in here and really liked it) and scarborough taps.

I have over the weekend heard about both Mojo and North bar elsewhere too, so will give them a go soon smile

Mojo's is the opposite end of the spectrum to the pubs you went to.

scarborough taps.
my grandad/dad/uncle's regular back in the day, along with whitelocks yard.

i've been to the taps, didn't much like it. whitelocks is expensive for leeds [£3 odd a pint!] but a great old man's pub.

mojo's would have been worth a look, and la cantina around the corner for cheap excellent tapas.

Yeah, I realise that, but I like both ends of the spectrum, just not the bit in the middle - Varsity, Yate's etc... lol
