Not sure if this is the right place to post but worth a shot.

Sitting here this morning, I am pondering building a wine rack in my garage.
I have an idea how I think it could look but wondered if the good people of PH would care to share any shots of their wine storage structures or offer any advice about racks (of the wine variety that is wink ) to inspire me, and any others thinking of doing similar.

Just one thing if it is any more than about 6-8 bottles high it will need secured to the wall for stability.

The garage isn't a good place to store wine long-term due to the extremes of summer / winter temperatures.

The best place to store it would be in the cellar if you've got one, or a wine cooler:

I believe that the bore of a cylinder from a Chevy small block is about right for a standard wine bottle.

Some interesting ideas here!
I decided to completely turn the garage upside down instead and clear it out yesterday in preparation for shelving and drinks racking (although the exact nature of this is still undecided)

I bought mine instead of making them from IKEA. Nice wooden racks in modules. Mine have sood the test of time over 15 years and they still sell them.

They're amazing. Can't afford one now, but it's on the wish list for the dream house...

Thanks for the heads-up!
