Just wondering if anyone else has suffered nightime visits from spanner wielding scum in or around MK lately.Last night it was complete passenger door mirror from Jag S type,a couple of months ago an 18'' MV2 from an e46 coupe. Both from my drive in a quiet cul-de-sac in Middleton. BiB reckon its rife in this area, but can offer no practical help.
If anyone has seen dodgy cars hanging around or disturbed low-life on the prowl, perhaps we could pool any info and enable us to ki... report to the proper authorities.

Not seen anything I'm afraid but I'm surprised it's "rife" in Middleton - that's one of the better areas in MK.

O/T - I've looked at your profile. You've owned a lot of cars! Sterling work thumbup

Thanks Muzzer, and apart from some company cars in the late 80's early 90's I've lost money on every one! Apparently the'better' areas have better and easier pickings according to the Police, which makes sense I suppose.

Thing is where are there going to be nice cars and nice parts? In the nicer areas. It is the same reason scum fiddle with the cash machines in well off areas as you are more likely to hit a card with loads of money on it.

Hi Richard

I live in Middleton too, at the Fire Station end.

There was a spate of thefts from cars last year, mostly when people had forgotten to lock their cars. It happened to me too, and I lost around £500 worth of stuff. One of my neighbours fitted a CCTV system and you will be surprised about how many times he has recorded people around his cars late at night even at the end of a cul de sac.

I've not heard of anything being stolen from the outside of the cars though

Hi all,

Another Middleton resident here. I am in the Great Linch area...

It seems our friends from Broughton as the main culprits as it started over there and have now travelled.

My friends Leon on Broughton has had its trim taken about 3 times now along with other bits and bobs.

We do have a very helpful volunteer Police officer in our estate, might be worth giving him your opinion next time you see him.
