Loads!

Just go outside of the M42 and you can't move for them. Many now have 50 limits on them so be on the lookout for cameras.

The drive through Lapworth on the way to the Waterman is nice on the Bikes.
Not very long though.

I can't think!! But there's nothing impressive. Just head towards Stratford/Warwick/Sutton. Just go explore!

Old Warwick Road - it's good fun in a car though but nowhere really you can overtake.

Can't remember the names of the roads but there are some nice country lanes on the way to Nuneaton. Nothing particularly special but not half bad either.

Not a problem on the Bikes biggrin

I didnt realise it was there for ages. We used to use the 'new' Warwick Road.

The road surface is good if I remember from last time!

It's a handy cut across to the Stratford Road too.

Cheers guys,

I've had a drive out and there are some nice country roads. Will have to go explore when I have a day off.

Do it. I love driving round there. Just a wander down towards Stratford, keep the roof down and the foot down and end up in the Cotswolds cloud9

Lots of roads, just head away from the motorways. As someone else mentioned most of the Warwickshire roads now have blanket 50mph limits.

I've been heading North in the direction of Tamworth /Lichfield recently. Just explore

Can't give too much detail away on the net as those bloody Southeners may be reading and then they'll all want to come up here for a hoon and spoil it for the rest of us.

Actually, there are no decent roads - none whatsoever smile

If that's the one going through Great Alne then yes.

Not convinced about Shirley to M42 though! Roundabouts aplenty, but also idiots, speed cameras, traffic, and a 40mph limit!

Back route from Meriden to Nuneaton (over towards Gun hill Old Arley kind of way) used to be a decent run but not been that way in a long time tbh. used to like the run down back end of Redditch going down through bidford, on towards Evesham etc also used to be fairly good.
But in all honesty, most roads now have blankets of (s)cameras of varying sorts on them so you just have to be so so careful.

Knowle to A46 (past Waterman pub as per one of the routes suggested above), onto M40 for a mile or so, off at leamington, take road towards Gaydon and then onto Fosse Way.

Near Cheltenham you can head back up on A46, north on A435 for a bit (to just north of Studley) then A4189 via Hockley back to Knowle. It's a route I used to do in S2000 or on CBR600RR. Much enjoyed.

Now I live north of Tamworth and am open to suggestions for that area if anyone local to Ashby is posting smile
