The Bull – Barton le Clay, Bedfordshire
Stella £3.95

Anyone else’s local so extortionate?

Normal =
UK Location
Standard Pub, no Clubs, Bars, ‘Special Interest’ Pubs (£10 a pint I’m lead to believe)

3.40 for a pint of Cumberland Ale in Twyford. Not extortion... but steep.

Northerners, stay off this thread. You havent got the foggiest what an expensive pint is.

I was buying them in Liverpool for £2.40 a throw. It was all I could do not to get st-faced just for the cheap piss.

Bournemouth - £3.20 for a pint of Becks Vier £3.60 for Stella. And thats not even in one of the good pubs.

They should be wearing fking ski masks.

I created a whole thread about it around Christmas time!

35 Baht, or 70p for a Leo beer here, and that's only a half, 40B or 80p for a bottle. Tiger is an 50B, a whole pound for a bottle. It's ruining me!

Bottled beer prices are criminal. The wholesale price on that is 60-70p.

At least you get a pint then - rather than the 275 or 330ml (depending on beer) you get in the bottled ranges.

I'm sure the you can get beer of sorts in Wetherspoons for about £1.70? I know, I know, Wetherspoons are awful places. The only one I go to really is the one near the ground on matchday.

Not Clubs or anywhere nice.

Just a boggo village pub with a miserable git behind the bar, with no good food or entertainment.

Our local is cracking and we're in there every weekend after football. It's a nice village pub, fantastic food.

People were complaining that pints of Fosters had gone up to £2.60 a couple of weeks back.

Indeed anytime I have been in one it is full of old soaks as the beer is so cheap, all the toothless wonders sat drinking all day long!

2 pints, 1 guiness and 1 magners and I got very little change out of £10, think it was £1 something.

That was in Angel and not at a swanky bar.

£1.39 a pint for various real ales and cloudy ciders just up the road last night as part of their 'beer festival'... can't really complain to be honest, atmospheres not great and it's too dark but the beers interesting, well kept and very cheap...!
