In both directions at the Rover Way junction there are new (a week or two old?) mini gatso's? with distance reference lines painted on the tarmac. These are presumably there to catch people speeding up to make the lights?

Just a heads up anyway.

Not seen them but could they be there to catch people who jump red lights. Like the ones on Manor Way.

Yep, on the corner where TGI Fridays is, hidden behind a tree, with wonky road markings painted on the junction, a junction that is utter arse anyways they have made worse

I saw then as being like the ones on the corner park llantrisant junction, as in they catch doing a red and record the speed you did it at, double whammy.

I may be totally wrong though

I think I may have been caught by this camera earlier today. I thought Newport Road was 40mph here but I am kicking myself and thinking it's actually 30 here, and only goes to 40 past Rumney shops

If the gatso is traffic light linked does that mean it fires only if you have run a red (it was green)?

Cheers

Digging up a relic here but I was flashed tonight by these at 35mph. Doesn't seem very sporting! Are they definately speed / red light cameras combined?

The one at TGI Fridays flased me and a number of cars as we turned right (on green) within the speed limit so something not working correctly!

I haven't seen the mini Gatso's on Newport road, just the old style one near the Fridays turn off.

These have popped up on north road/northern avenue though...
