engine will not idle

I've just purchased a 350i 1987 which I've only had a week or two it has given me a bit of trouble from the start but now it will not idle below 1200rpm, it has a new cold start switch and ECU, so it will run fine untill the engine is warm then it will just die. Does anybody have any ideas of where I should start looking, I have checked for air leaks and pipes off etc.

First thing you do is replace the engine temparature sensor.

My favourite topic this......sounds like the ignition module on the side of the distributor.

Get it sorted and turn up at the BBWF
Oh and try your head lights cos that will be the next problem!
