Just picked this up from a fellow PH'er (his pics). Having just been refurbished at STS, it's not looking too bad for a 40 year old smile

It's a good looking watch, and a little bit different. I've had a regular Speedy before, but I actually prefer this model. Must be something to do with growing up in the 70's smile

That is stunning looking.

I have been looking for a piece with that sort of shape for a while (having taken a shine to the Oris cronoris) and have noted that Sinn has re-issued a watch that looks very similar to the speedie Mk2 (even down to the red seconds marker) and was indeed originally supplied with a LeMania movement (which I believe Omega bought and put in the original Speedie.

Sounds like we have similar tastes. I love the Sinn 142 (and similar 144) and have also been on the lookout for a second hand Chronoris. There's not many of the Oris about though. They hardly ever crop up the usual forums and all on ebay are new.

The original version of the Chronoris is a fine looking watch too.

Really nice. Haven't seen one of those before - is it called just "MkII Exotic"?

It is usually referred to as a Speedmaster MkII, with a racing or exotic dial. The black faced version, which is also very nice, has white hands.

Cheers Benny. I've seen plenty of the black faced MkIIs, but never with that racing dial. Love that 70s luminous colour detailing. Gorgeous!

There's a few about, but you could buy a black faced version and send it off to STS to have the exotic dial and orange hands fitted (I assume Omega don't care). You'd likely save a few quid too.

Or buy the dial and hands yourself and get a local watch guy to do it.

The orange detailing looks fabulous in the sun. It really zings smile

Not as good, so don't think I'm trying to compete, but looks like Omega used some of the old design language in their 2000 Schumi special edition Speedy...

Very similar red and orange chapter ring (is that what it's called?) and minute / second dividers. Definitely some DNA in there - even though my watch was made in 2000, and doesn't have the orange chrono hand smile

Very nice. I wonder what it would look like with orange or red chrono hands? There was also a Japanese market only racing dial with the same look. You don't see many of these or yours about.
