ust had mine replaced by AutoGlass in Leeds. Chief fitter there had done a lot of work in the past with Niel Garner so knew his stuff. I was told that the fitting would take at least 6 hours, and it did, but when fitted the roof panel, and seal would not seat properly. This in all honesty was highlighted by said technician and he was not happy with the fit. He diagnosed that the screen was to blame and i am now awaiting a recall to have the new screen removed and a newer screen from a different source fitted under a defect warranty.
I will keep updating with the result.
As a post script the reason my screen had cracked ( or should i say a contributing factor was) that the flimsy aluminium surround that holds the screen in place had started to corrode and caused distortion. this along with roof off flex led to a crack in the offside corner.

My new windscreen (pattern, NOT TVR stamped ) was fitted by Autoglass too. Their fitter did a terrible job including chipping the new screen, and re-using the old rubber which didn't take with the new glue and is flapping around in the breeze!
It's getting done again next Friday! To be fair they accepted full responsibility and have promised they will use an "experienced" fitter this time! (I think they only have one guy who is experienced enough and couldn't use him on the day mine was first done.)
The moral of the story seems to be; insist on them using someone who knows what they're doing, and ask what experience the fitter has before letting them anywhere near your car..........

"them" does not always have to be who your insurance company are steering you towards. Had a new screen fitted when i had the interior renewed at D&C Trimmers in Blackpool.
They told me that they have to remove the roof first, then after the new screen was fitted they could adjust the roof to suit the new screen position as they had the same issues on previous cars.
The guy who fitted the windscreen said the issue was all the companies get the screen from the same supplier as no one else makes them and he was finding the screen fit cars well and others not without roof or screen frame adjustment.
To be fair mine is a good fit but needed attention,my only niggle with the fitting was the rubber seal was not glued/sealed correctly at the top corners so i had to redo with SEALFLEX which did the trick
