Zeebrugge to Venice on a sportsbike
Discussion
Hi,
Planning taking my bike to Venice in June (I work there). I would be looking at taking the ferry to Zeebrugge then a fast blast down through Belgium/Germany/Austria, stop overnight at the edge of the Alps or Dolomites and set of the next morning for the run down to Venice.
I am not a seasoned tourer and will be packing lightly on an R1. I was thinking to cover the majority of the miles on the first day via autobhans etc and then find a scenic/sporty route for the second day.
Can anyone help with suggestions for routes and a hotel for the overnight stay. I sould add my previous longest run on a bike is around 250 miles!! so am I asking too much of myself to cover this journey in 2 days?
Thanks for any help.

Here is a google map of the Alpine passes on page 2 the Hotels we use,
Night 1 at ST Erumus Hotel, 2nd night at Andermatt Hotel Aurora .... your route is pretty obvious plus Andermatt has the best biking roads in the world take and extra day and do the 3 passes loop Gothard Susten and Furka Passes.
