Need a new leather strap for a Fortis Fleiger.

Looking at the watchworx site I quite like the look of their leather straps and deployment clasps.

Anyone purchased one of their clasps and if so which and how comfortable have you found it?

Thanks

Huw

I got one of their clasps on a leather strap, and briefly exchanged it with my Omega bracelet.

It's a "dual" clasp (don't know if that's the right term) - but rather than the standard Omega/Tag etc deployment clasp which is one action, their clasps essentially clip on each side. So when you put the watch on you clip one side on, then the other side on (if that makes sense).

It was all good quality and comfortable, but after only 2 weeks I swapped it back to my standard bracelet and have never wanted to swap back since.

I have a couple of them which I have used on a Girard Perregaux for the past few years and prefer them to the original pin buckle strap for ease of use and always foundnd them comfrtable.

Perfect serviceable product for minimal cash.

I've got an IWC deployant that came with my 3717. It's a lovely piece of engineering, but would I pay the £250 IWC charge to buy it as a stand alone item? Would I fk?

Andy - I agree with you about the individual manufacturer's costs, they are huge! But I did find the watchworx one less, what's the word, less user friendly. I like the deployant ( didn't know that was the word) of the manufacturer's because they are very quick to use - snap on snap off sort of thing, but the dual ones as I call them are less so. Not a massive thing, but itw made me put it back in the drawer and not get out since. Not a big outlay to find out, but thought I'd mention it smile

( It's 'butterfly deployant' I think Tony. But I like 'dual' better smile )

I have a deployant with an alligator strap on my Stowa MO. It's comfortable enough, but I'm not sure I'd have another. It definitely has more bulk than a normal buckle and is more for show (IMHO at least) than fulfilling any great use.
