A few years back I went to Goodwood FOS, and it took us over an hour just to get into the place to park. I'd imagine we were a little late (some distance to travel before), but is it always like that? Do I just have to get up extra early or get a hotel room? (I doubt there are any now).

I'd love to do the revival this year, get a grandstand seat and take the DSLR and make a good day/weekend of it.

I always aim to get into GFoS at around 8.00am on the Friday.

Last year was my first Revival (Friday again) - went with the family so took it easy getting down there (it's a two hour drive), had lunch at the Kennels and got to the circuit at around 2.00pm. No traffic at that time but a bit late if you want to see loads.

We're in Somerset and get to the FOS car park at about 6:30am on the Friday. We stay at a Travel lodge for the weekend and aim to get in for 7 on Sat and Sun. We pretty much drive in smile.

Thanks guys, sounds like I'm leaving too late! Will try to get some good stand seats at the weekend.
