If that had a date I'd be considering it as my 'return to Rolex' after not owning one of their real watches since my Daytona. Damn them, the Rolexes I *really* like don't have a date complication and I *really* want one. I like the 16610 SD but the clasp and bracelet is pants for such an expensive watch... and Rolex have shown everyone that they can do it properly with the new Sub and the SDDS.

So looks like I'm going to have to play as many funny buggers as possible to get that Tudor Heritage Chrono wink

Try the DSSD! Seemingly they don't wear quite that big.
I'd have to try one first though!

Edited because I'm an idiot.

Fairy nuff.
My local AD didn't have one in on my last visit. I'd love to try one even if it is out of budget!
Oh and ping me any details you get on the Tudor if you wouldn't mind. smile

These really are beautiful watches, and I totally agree with comments above regarding the lack of date. If it had a date I would certainly be wearing one as my daily yes

Love it.

I have one of these and can thoroughly recommend them (GV anyway). My first Rolex. Was used to wearing an Omega Seamaster before this ( scratchchin just reminded myself to find it and put it back in its box ) and Tbh, i never considered the fact it did not have a date.
Forgive me if there is more to this date thingy, but i can not understand why a lack of date would put someone off purchasing a watch. Do watches with dates hold their value better? Or is it merely for the convenience of knowing the date at a flick of the wrist?
Thinking about it, i probably only need to know and write down the date maybe once or twice a day in my Job, so can understand if someone who relies on this information more frequently needs it to hand. After all, it is a little unprofessional to whip out your mobile in a meeting hehe

Purely out of preference as far as I'm concerned.

I have a Submariner date that I bought for everyday use and a Panerai Pam111 I tend to wear as a going out/pub watch. I then decided that the Sub was too nice to use every day so invested in an Omega Railmaster Chrono as my daily. Wearing the sub as a 'going out' watch along with the Panerai (eta not at the same time obviously !! ). However after a month or so I found myself wearing the Sub for work again as having no date on my 'work watch' was irritating to say the least, and is the reason I hardly ever wear my Panerai to work. I ended up selling the Omega and going back to the Sub as my daily watch. The Pam comes out on the weekends when I don't need the date function.

So like I said, if the Milly had a date function, I would almost certainly be sitting here in work, right now, with one on my wrist smile

So, like I said, just my preference.
(and if something else catches my eye, Mrs Mojo can't complain as there is an empty space in my watch winder as the Railmaster was never replaced !! ).

Understood - can imagine the inconvenience of not having the date function if normally relied upon. I am just so used to looking on my phone or computer that i have never *really* missed this function on my watch.

Damn! coming on to the watch forums has got me looking at other watches now too.

Cheers smile

Whilst its a nice watch, it doesn't look anywhere near as good as the original.

But then the originals do tend to fetch just a teeny little more money.
