camping at Oulton for BTCC

Hi
Just wondered if anyone on here had camped at Oulton Park in the past as I am going to take my 8 year old son for the BTCC weekend next month.
Is there any catering on site or access to within the track? What are the facilities like?

I saw it mentioned on another forum that you could not park with the tents which would be unsuitable as I intend on taking the westfield weather permitting and wouldn't want to leave it in a car park for the weekend.

Yes you can leave your car with your tent

You will proberly be in family camping which is the big field on the outside of Old Hall/Cascades and there is two crossing on that section of track as well as one at Lodge.

Chequers restaurent is on site and the food is superb in there now! Also plenty of loos and showers etc

I am camping over with the Marshalls even though I only live 10 minutes away Should be a luagh!

Last year it cost £ 25 or so.

Have they changed their policy again then? Back when I first camped there for the BTCC, you could have your car at your tent and it worked well. Then (I think in 2003) due to "insurance reasons", they wouldn't allow cars on the campsite, which was a right pain in the backside, meaning a lot of trips with the tent and other bits and pieces. Last time I camped in 2006, the stewarding was a shambles. They let some people in with their cars to load and unload, but not others, me included.

Yeah, that has all been changed now Gone back to being able to park your car with your tent
