Morning All

Planning on taking my wife out for lunch next week and lunch at a nice london hotel would go down a treat.

So....anyone got a recommendation for me?

Thanks!

If the weather is good, go to the Park restaurant at the Mandarin. You can sit outside on the terrace overlooking Hyde Park.

Lost its Michelin star I believe.

I enjoyed it when I took the Mrs a couple of years ago though.

Pont de la Tour

Sunday lunch ,very reasonable £27. If its a nice day, you can sit out on the terrace looking up at Tower Bridge.

Nice stroll along the Embankment to walk it all off.

OK, found somewhere...Corrigans! Menu looks good and reviwes read well.

However...no 'swanky bar' for a cocktail beforehand.

So, any recommendations in Mayfair for a nice place to sup cocktails?

Maize grill or restaurant attached to the Grosvenor, Grosvenor Square Mayfair. Both excellent. V good value set lunch in grill £20 per head.

So...ended up having the £45 lunch courtesy of Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester. An absolute joy in every respect and to be honest better than several Ramsay related establishments where I've been relieved of £200+ for lunch for 2.

Very highly recommended!
