Recommend me a watch (Seiko)

Hi all,

Right currently have a Seiko Kinetic had it for over 12 years. Fancy a change, would like to stick to Seiko and there Kinetic technology also would like Chronograph features this time around.

A little heads up i’m more than impressed with the features of the new models out having tried most as high street stores etc, however the weight is a BIG concern as my current Seiko is very light weight.

I don’t really fancy a battery powered watch esp coming from a faultless Seiko.If it helps I will happily consider used/ discontinued models in an effort to find the "perfect" watch.

Budget is about £600 but willing to stretch it a little more for the right watch.

Yes, if your budget is £600, you could buy something better than a quartz (that's what your kinetic is!) watch.

Well yes... and no.

Higher end Seiko Kinetic models are exceptionally well made and seriously fine timepieces.

Sure, you can get an auto for that, but it won't be a "better" watch in the objective sense.

Obviously some people prefer autos (as I tend to) but I also have several very good Kinetics I use when swimming etc.

Oh, sure. A £50 Kinetic is going to keep time better than any £500 automatic. Perhaps I should have written "more interesting".
