Mrs Thatone and I are off to Devon on hols for a couple of weeks in July and are debating popping in to try it.. Watched and enjoyed the TV programme... anyone been? thoughts? are we wasting our time?

It's at Popham. It's the first one you come to when coming off the M3 South onto the A303.

It'll be busy, but if there is a table free, the food is pretty good. ( I tried the breakfast, definately an improvement.)

I live 10 mins drive from that but have never been in there so no use i am affraid. Let us no how you get on.

we did a ph hoon there when it first opened after the refurbishment

Went there on the way down to thruxton a fair old time ago, it was ok, not amazing, novelty of it being on tv wore off fairly quickly.

I ate there a couple of weeks ago and TBH I found the food shockingly over priced. They are clearly trading on the fact they have been on the tv. Take my advice, stay on the 303 for another half an hour and eat at the next Little Chef!
