Excuse me asking what may be a daft question - is the 420/450 SEAC block different from a standard Rover block?
If I wanted a spare, would it be OK just to buy a standard Rover unit or would it be best to acquire this advertised block?

I would call someone like V8D and ask those questions .. paying an inflated price for very old engine internals does not make much sense.
Far better just to buy a short motor from V8D or John Eales - probably would not cost any more and it's brand new.
