Parents are going on a cruise later this year.

IS there oportunity for duty free or a cheap reputable place to buy say a Tudor out there?

Most ports in the caribbean are big cruise destinations and rammed full of duty free watch shops. Depending on the brand there is usually a small price negotiation available. I don't remember seeing (m)any tudor outlets though. Barbados used to be a good place for watches but the last few times I've been the prices have gone up. I don't think it's as cheap as it was.

They'll probably find similar prices in the airports at both ends or even on the boat now.

Most of the ports have the same watch & jewelry shops depending on where they are going. They're mainly big reputable dealers as far as I remember.

Aruba is quite popular with the cruise ships then even have a canal from the dock to bring the punter into the heart of the shopping centre

I love the style of U-boat watches if they made them 40mm I would probably have one by now. those huge ones must look daft on most people.

I just got back from Jamaica and they had some nice Tudor watches out there. I didn't check prices as the Omega's looked quite expensive what with the exchange rate at the moment and didn't feel like getting into a big ''how much is this? oh really. Thank you I'm just browsing''

Labado and Grand Caymen had some very nice jewellers, went last year with Royal Caribbean and some of the prices looked quite good to me.

My brother bought me my SS Daytona from the Windies. There are some great watch shops over there.

Remember, they have different time over there, so you'll need to get it changed to UK time.
