Can't quite understand that post, has El Bulli re-opened and another restaurant opened as well, or are you saying El Bulli's team has linked up with another and opened one new restaurant?

If El Bulli is now open again great news, I didn't get a chance to go there before.

They were saying as I said that El Bulli & Mugaritz have opened as one restaurant. We will see.

I like your comment about getting a reservation at El Bulli, if it had stayed open you would have had no chance of a reservation as they only opened for dinner and the waiting list was just too long with the amount of table spaces available, when the likes of Bill Gates was told he would have to join the queue.

You are obviously not up with the top Spanish Michelin starred restaurants as Mugaritz has been a Michelin starred restaurant for some time as is Arzak both in the San Sebastian area of Spain.

Doesn't El Bulli close for six months each year so that Ferran Adria can work on menu development?

Sal, It was going to close permanently this year end as he wished to concentrate on his School, but now he has apparently according to the Spanish news opened in conjunction with Mugaritz, but I don't know the exact name for the restaurant as it is El Bulli & Mugaritz mixed so who knows what it is called ?

Are you sure it was permanent? I read somewhere that he was closing for a year or two but definitely planning to reopen at some point.

On the Spanish news 2 weeks ago he was shown in a spanish Gourmet conference where he said that El Bulli was closing indefinately and that he was going to take a break, when he came back from that he is going to open up a School for future chefs at which point he will also be able to accept grants from the government.

As you have stated normally he closes for 6 months but that this time it is permanent.

Then on the Spanish news 2 nights or so ago he was then saying that now he is opening with Mugaritz, that is all I have heard so far but will be all ears for the future.
Will report anything more that I see in the daily tabloids or T.V.
