Maserati Driving Day

I`ve just been invited and intend to go - has anyone been on one of these and, if so, whats the form? - is it all road work or do you have the opportunity to er "explore the envelope"?

I've been invited too And I'm certainly going too!

No idea about the format though, can have a chat with the guys there and find out. Given that it's organised by the marketing dept I would imagine we'll get a chance to drive the latest and greatest in an attempt to tingle our upgrade tendencies Can't wait!

Still not sure what you're all talking about - is this a Maserati UK thing your dealer puts you name forward for with the aim of tempting you to upgrade???

It looks like some promo. thing where they let you throw a Coupe and a Spyder around a track for a bit. Free track time, instruction and lunch.

But then there is no such thing as a free lunch.

Guess it depends who you bought yours off - if it was an official dealer might be worth giving them a call.

And yes your assumption is about right, though not having done one of these before I'm only guessing anyway....

Same thing happened to me too, very dissapointed. Apparrently I'm on the 'reserve' list. Kicking myself for e-mailing, next time I'll darn well phone them up or march in the showroom and be demanding.

Puts the mockers on potentially upgrading to a 4200 to, as it's the ideal opportunity to find out how it's improved over my 3200, I doubt I'd really be able to see the difference on the public road in a testdrive anyway.

Still their loss etc etc etc

Ok so we're off to egham, park the 3200s there over the weekend and its off to a trackday in a couple of their 4200 demomobiles then . . . otherwise I'll buy a porsche!

I've just had to cancel my appointment for tomorrow morning - this is the third time I haven't been able to take part!

But it does mean there's a spare spot so why not call and see if you can take it?

Thanks for the heads up Alex, unfortunately I'm going to be stuck in the office all day tomorrow listening to a stream of vendors trying to sell me software. I could blow the meeting out, but it wouldn't look very good!
