Exhaust ( Cat Convertor ) Thefts from pick ups?

Hi folks , had My Cat converter stolen ( cut out ! ) from my 2010 ford ranger while parked on my drive !
Anyone else experienced this?
Spoke to Quick Fit and they say its becoming more common for this to happen and the price for a new replacement was close to £3000 !!!!!!!

4x4's cause its east to get under them

scrap value of cats is very high cause of the rare metals within



in the meantime, just replace the section with straight through pipe, and ignore it untill mot time
