Had my Seiko 5M63-0A50 for over ten years now, nothing special perhaps but I've worn it nearly every day and it has been to many weird and wonderful places. The first decent watch I bought myself once employed, I still look at the face and remain fascinated by its simplicity... Couple of weeks ago the strap snapped after some particularly vigorous wood chopping and the watch landed on a sticky-up bit of the ceramic kitchen floor, right on a previous nick in the side of the glass. The glass 'mushroomed' from the inside but held together and did not reach the outside of the glass. I had it repaired and thicker strap lugs put in, but as I look down at the pristine glass now, I can't help feeling that some of it's charm has been lost...

I suppose at least now it is ripe for some new adventures and battle scars...
