welder watches

I have never been much of a watch person (which is odd really as my grandfather and great grandfather were both watchmakers)
However, ever since seeing an image of a welder watch, ive fallen in love. Sure, they are rather large, but i think they look fantastic, menacing, understated and functional - right up my street
Ive done some searching and the one im after is the K25 - black with the red hands/numbers
They seem to be around the £400 mark which (to me) is a lot of money, but not unaffordable
They seem to get reasonable writeups and although maybe more of a fashion item than outright quality watch, does anybody have any additional info, or indeed own one and care to share their thoughts?
