Can everyone bombard AOL comments with there opions as they have today wrote a piece on TVR slagging them off to the hilts and as usual know nothing about them and have had 3 comments including mine telling them what they dont know, understand or cant be bothered to study as usual with aol as there guys are pethetic pricks anyway!

Help me please! Dont think you have to be with aol to write a comment.

Don't be a petulant child. TVRs came from the factory only 95% finished (which is fair enough given that you effectively paid half of what comparable performance and charisma would cost elsewhere). How well you got on with it depended entirely on how competent your dealer was and on your own attitude. If you buy one now, chances are it's been in good hands and will be as reliable as anything - which will mostly be a testament to the former owner and/or whomever they were using for care and feeding.

I agree that a lot of people who slag off TVR's probably havn't owned one. But most TVR owners are enthusiasts and are prepared/expectant for the niggles of ownership. Problems that the average member of the public might consider unaceptable, a TVR owner would consider par for the course.
These kind of price check comparisons do sound very appealing but I don't think I would like to part with £10K for any old 15 year old Cerbera or 25 year old porsche out of the classified. I just hope joe public doesn't rush in to ownership with their AOL rose tinted glasses on.
