If you like that style, I can't see any reason why you wouldn't want a Tauchmeister instead.

so there are better watches for the same money, main reason for looking at them is large numbers and pointers, not just because i wanted that make exactly.

Not necessarily better but no worse, I suspect. Check out wernersflyingwatches.com.

TW are more of a 'fashion watch' brand - The majority of their styling cues are taken from Richard Mille and U-BOAT. To be honest, you could get a nice Hamilton automatic for the same sort of cash, or perhaps get something second hand?

If you really like TW, go for it ... It's your decision smile Keep in mind they big in size!

I'm sure someone will be able to suggest something better, but I'll start by recommending a Sinn 656 S ...

Not my photo btw! The 656 costs between £625 and £895 depending on whether you choose the PVD coating and whether you opt for a strap or bracelet smile

Or a Damasko DA37:

Also available with a black face (the DA36), neither is that easy to find.

I have a TW78 and I really like it although it doesn't get much wrist time anymore. If I had £1k to spend on a watch though I certainly would be looking elsewhere, probably towards Sinn as mentioned above, or Uboat if it has to be massive.

its not realy a massive watch i want just one that has big numbers and easy to see. i have a seiko something or other chrono, but its just about unreadable to me now, so all i want is a plain and simple watch that i can read the time on.
