Replacing Mineral Glass with Sapphire

Hi all,

Just a quick thought and wondered if anyone could help.

I've managed to scratch the mineral glass on my G-Shock and it's annoying enough to make me want to replace it. Would it be feasible to use a sapphire crystal instead of the mineral glass to avoid this happening again?

The glass is flat, 30mm diameter.
