I hope the Uni thing is clarified. If the Scots want fee uni for millionaires, it must not be at the expense of your average rUK student.
Scotlands University admissions process is different from Englands. They have not done the whole 50% of kids should go to Uni thing. Their uni's have restricted places like Englands used to so if you are thick you don't get to go, that's how they can afford it.PlankWithANailIn said:

Not QT but well worth a mention.
Good grief ... Following QT, Diane Abbot on This Week has made a statement which I am in entire agreement with... Wonders never cease!
which was? Good grief ... Following QT, Diane Abbot on This Week has made a statement which I am in entire agreement with... Wonders never cease!
Some of the cluelessly distorted reports over all the PC-riddled media yesterday I found quite sickening. Surely they cannot be serious. Sadly, they were.

Not in so many words but, NOT blaming the security services for the murderous cowson with the penchant for separating heads from torsos.

A Tory party with a decent majority (consigns Mili, Balls & Reeves to history) that introduces strict immigration controls, makes all PC (gender, colour, weight) illegal, "O" level English mandatory if you want to claim benefits, ..... back to front really but you get the drift rambling on. Some of the cluelessly distorted reports over all the PC-riddled media yesterday I found quite sickening. Surely they cannot be serious. Sadly, they were.
balls needed.

Weirdly, I was transfixed by her eyes. She didn't blink once and I was scared to in case I missed it.
I now have to keep repeating my N.I. number to convince myself she hasn't penetrated me. Mentally, of course. Or is that a symptom?
Botox... Looks like she has had a ton of it... Half her face muscles don't work.I now have to keep repeating my N.I. number to convince myself she hasn't penetrated me. Mentally, of course. Or is that a symptom?

England 1,944,995
Scotland 214,785
(total 2,159,780)
As percentage Scot = 9.9% of England
Pop England/Scotland - 53M, 5.2M (total 55.2M) - as percentage Scot = 9.4% of England
Hence Scotland sends more students to Uni as a percentage of its population.
So unless I'm missing something, is that "myth busted"?
It really would be interesting to know whether the government funding takes into account the proportion of income from student loans.
Scotland should be under a reverse Barnett formula to reduce their proportion of funding to recognise the lack of income from their students supporting future students via the loan system.
