My Stowa MO on a new Toshi
Discussion
Hi All,
I needed a new strap for my Stowa MO as the standard Stowa black one had become a bit old, sweaty, and the loops on the strap were beginning to break. So i contacted Rich from Toshi straps, as ive read elsewhere about his great workman ship and straps. I origionally wanted vintage leather, but Rich said he didn't have any, but did happen to have some new leather, which was Horse Hide and was going to be called "Saddle" on his website.
After seeing the pictures, and after a few emails back and fourth, Rich had all the info he needed and a week or so later, my strap is here!
I have to say its immediatly clear how robust these straps are. its two or three times the thickness of the standard Stowa strap, and has just one very robust loop for the tail of the strap to go through. The colour and stitching is absolutely spot on and makes my MO look 100% nicer than it did on the standard strap.
Ive only worn it for a few hours now, and Rich said it would need a few days to "wear in" but even now, its so comfortable, im almost forgetting its there, which is just what i want when i wear my Stowa daily (dont see the point of having a nice watch and leave it shoved in a drawer for weeks on end, so i chose to wear it daily). Everything about the strap is perfect and many many times better than the standard Stowa strap (which looks very weak in comparison to the Toshi!)
I understand Rich will be putting these Saddle leather straps on his website very soon, and I cant recommend them highly enough. Rich's reply to emails was very prompt and polite, and very patient even for a relative watch newbie like me!
Im not the worlds best photographer with my little point and shoot camera, but ive put some pictures below
Opinions more than welcome. Big thanks to Rich at Toshi for the great service!
