Are the multi contour seats also the massaging and vented ones or is that another option?

I am going to see one at the weekend and they specify multi contour seats.

Mercedes call massage and vented seats "Comfort" seats - that is the term you should be looking for.

I've got Dynamic seats in my E500 - they have the "pulse" option which inflates and deflated the lumbar supports to massage your lower back (sort of...). They also have auto-inflating side bolsters which tighten according to corenring loads - much more fun.....

OK, thanks for that I will see on Friday what they are. Not to fussed as long as they are heated and have memory.

I think you'll find all SL55's have heated and memory seats.

Well went to see the car and they had the pulse option as well as various controls for altering the seat (other than the normal on door controls).

The Dynamic seat controls are mounted low down on a pod at the front of my E class seats - you get

- 2 x lumbar support adjustment
- side bolster adjustment
- set cushion length adjustment

Over and above that you can choose two auto settings

- "pulse" which pulses the lumbar support and
- "dynamic" which moves the side bolsters in if you start to give it beans
