hello people...
am thinking about taking the plunge and getting one of these beasts....have had reasonable insurance quotes, so that is sorted....just a few questions though
this will be the first car like this that I will own....
what are the running costs like..?
tyres, fuel, and other consumables..?
any engine snags...(that has put me right off getting a porsche)
servicing costs etc
any other tips etc..
any info would be greatly appreciated

New rear tyres every 8k but not so expensive
No engine issues
Some gearbox issues with valve plate and software but mostly sorted now.
Dealer servicing usual rip off especially with an AMG monika so independants way to go.
AMG specific parts dear but other than front rotors you dont need many.
Heated seat elements easily broken by kneeling on the base and new seat section to repair, many just leave it.
Lot less of a complexity issue than an sl55
Pretty reliable really especially for a Merc and no time bomb like the porkers. I use mine as every day car and I never even think its about to pop or let me down.
