lol

But anyway... when it comes to toast, what do you prefer? brown, white or wholemeal bread? butter or margarine?

I prefer white bread for toast, and it has to be real butter (and NOT "spreadable butter", because I don't consider it to be real butter!)

Thick cut white bread, lightly toasted with margerine and lashings of marmite is perfect.

In reality, I'm not too fussed on the type or colour of bread as long as the toast is hot - there's nothing worse than cold toast.

Ewwwwwwwwww margarine nasty!

Hear you on cold toast though, my Mum used to let it stand for 10 minutes before spreading Margarine. Made me sick just watching.

For me, bread is fresh from the oven, still hot, slice it thick, grill both sides and stloads of butter. And crab on payday.

scratchchin Insurance?

Anyway, back to the important stuff...

Wholemeal, preferably a thicker cut, lightly toasted, butter. Thick cut soft white a close second.

Medium cut Granary bread, lightly toasted, with Flora Buttery.

Strawberry Jam if I'm in the mood but more often than not it's just the Flora. yum

Strange one but I love it. White bread burnt enough to set off smoke alarms, real butter and golden shred. Now comes the tricky bit, wrap and leave until lunch time (assuming its made at breakfast)

I've recently tried polish bread for toast which works really well. It is a bit like sour dough and has potato flakes in it, toasts up really nicely.

Irwins Irish batch also makes great toast.
