Prepare yourselves for a tale of woe, and massive stupidity.

My wife decided to get me a small Christmas present (2009) of a brown leather strap for by Bell & Ross 01-97. She ordered this from a well-known watch retailer (a strange outpost of Scotland in London), and they happily took the money.

Fast forward to late Feb, and still no present. So I contact these people, and they firstly say it was delivered (err... No), and then the fact B&R don't do this. Then they do. And it's delivered. And it's for the wrong model. And we wait again. There are chased emails, and lies back from them. Fast forward again to today - my brown leather strap is actually a grey rubber one, and I have given up.

Needless to say, that at no point in time, will I have anything at all to do with them.... I mean, they have made BP seem quick-footed and intelligent in comparison!

Tinternet is a fantastic convienent tool, as is mail order, HOWEVER there's an awful lot in favor of going into a shop looking at something you want and paying cold hard cash.

Yeah your right I am an old git.

Sue the pants off em I say, or send the boys round, failing that raise them to the ground...now wheres that lighter fuel.

Seriously that isn't a nice story and you have my sympathys mate.

Chin up sir

Not sure who you mean but situation sounds crappy.
Home you get the strap you want from somewhere else.

Yeah, I know what you mean... I'm going to get some non-OE ones off the web, and try for a real one in the flesh.

As for the shop, it's a Scottish Island, a brand of whisky, and shower of idiots from Burlington Arcade.
