Nope, it's the other twin-Paxton 427 Cobra built, one of Shelby's own personal Cobras (CSX3015) which he kept for nearly 40 years and was recently autioned off for $5m.

The Cosby Cobra (CSX3303) was handed back to Shelby-American and sold on in 1969 being bought by a Tony Maxey of San Francisco, who soon afterwards lost control of the monstrous 427, crashing over a cliff into the Pacific Ocean and being killed.

I love this from PH'er Angelis' thread in Readers Cars. Theres just something deeply cool about trumpets sticking out of the top of an engine like that.

Some of those turbo/supercharged engines look frightening! I do love the design of the old Jaguar engines though, something about them just looks right.
