Anyone know if the problems in the Ukraine are affecting the 225?
Still gutted I only saw it parked up at Manchester. Took time off to watch the take off but it was delayed. The video of the take off compensated a little.
O/T Is the Breitling Constellation due in the UK this summer?
It's certainly affecting the Ukrainian registered 124 as Russia has stopped spares support.Still gutted I only saw it parked up at Manchester. Took time off to watch the take off but it was delayed. The video of the take off compensated a little.

Aircraft (almost) took off from Northolt in 1946.

The version of the Union Flag shown on the fin is based on an early 19th century version of the flag derived from a Chatham Dockyard design.
Originally, the "Chatham Dockyard" livery was just one of dozens of different "ethnic" liveries which BA introduced in 1997 as part of their "Utopia" programme. It was decided at management level that British Airways was being held back by its overtly "British" image so they thought that it would be better if the adopted a more "world centered" image and go for a multitude of different tail colours to reflect this move to being a "world" airline rather than a "national" airline.
It was not a good move and after a year or so, the "ethnic" tails were dropped and the fleet standardised on the "Chatham Dockyard" tail.
