As I seemed to have upset a few Aston Martin owners after asking them to pay £7 to come to the Hedingham castle meet, so I thought I would try and make up for it by organising a special meet just for you guys and this time it will be free.

If you have an Aston, please come along as I'm sure you will enjoy the day and you don't even need to bring your wallets thumbup

Date: Sunday 29th August 2010

Location:
Tesco superstore
BRENT CROSS HENDON WAY,
TILLING ROAD,
LONDON,
GREATER LONDON,
NW2 1LZ

Time: Get there for 8:30 so you can get the prime position facing the flyover.

Cost: Totally free, but TESCO only allows you to park there for a maximum of two hours. So you may have to drive to another Tesco Superstore to continue the meet.

Food: As Aston owners are notoriously tight with their money, I'm sure most of you will be bringing along home made sandwiches. Alternatively, there will be plenty of food inside teh store.

Special gift Tesco will be handing out free cans of baked beans to all Aston owners who buy over £5 worth of groceries. Try not to eat them before the journey home, as your passengers might complain about your excessive gas.

I've marked out the parking area below for those that are coming. Fortunatly I won't be able to come along as I'd rather watch paint dry.

Hopefully none of you will compalin this time as it's all free.

Have a nice time. byebye

blimey even I find this offensive, angelis you will find that the most generous and always up for a good cause will be these Aston martin owners, if you had asked for a donation etc, I am sure you would have raised far more funds for your restoration, to point out one single event last year a great number of people of this forum travelled hundreds of miles to a workshop in Derby, gave up their free time to take out a number of disadvantaged, seriously ill or disabled children just because they could, not for reward or payment just for the sheer pleasure of putting a smile on a child's face, priceless, not once has this been offered with many donating items to auction to raise money for the children's charity and many to return this year to do the same again, do not underestimate the intelligence or generosity of these people, as it will be your loss not theirs,

Ahhhhh! cant believe it. I sell my Aston in march to a German collector, and now here's an opportunity to drive all the way to London to park in a Tesco's. Just my bloody luck!!!

Can I come in my BMW? Is there parking for normal cars in the supermarket? is there somewhere I can get something to eat? How about something to drink? Dont need much- maybe some crisps, a bottle of water. I would'nt want to leave the car too long to get food, so ideally somewhere close by where I can park my car, then do my shopping. Will the food sales area be covered? I hate buying food in the rain. If I get there early, I might also buy a newspaper and maybe a lottery ticket. Is there somewhere close by where I can buy these as well? In the dry? Again, with car parking

To be honest, I dont think I can commit to driving my BMW all ther way to a Tesco's car park on a sunday unless I know the answer to these questions

Nonsense. 489 Astons gathered at Blenhein Palace in May- and they paid considerably more than £7.00 for the privilege. So it probably wasn't the entrance fee.

I cannot imagine why your event didn't attract even more?? I mean, with your selling and social skills you should have had far more than Blenheim.

Obviously. biggrin
